Human imagination is unable to workout the issue of combining colors, the outcome of which could be found but practically. Quite uncharacteristic of human contemplation, one cannot conceive, on mental grounds, the nature of the final result of the process, when one varies the ratio of the elementary colures of a mixture. This failure cannot be improved by experience, for even an expert painter, confronting the same problem, does nothing but to check the “experimental” consequence, making some modifications in the ratios of elementary colors on the basis of mental impression, and finally adjusting them to obtain the appropriate color.

We conclude that if one favors a color, the details should be determined just by practice, and not by imagination.

In fact, one labels an specific color only by introducing “practical samples”. This is the reason why numerous catalogues of colors or colorful materials, are still used, and even after frequent study, one still should consult them directly. Even a master cannot imagine a color by just referring to an assumed number as a “label”.

This book presents a new approach to “obviate” this intrinsic human defect; “new” in the sense that I’v assembled the whole possible combinations of two, three or four colors with, of course , differing ratios. Don’t hesitate that you find all of the mixtures, as long as the variance being “quantized” in units of ten.

The Novelty introduced in this book, is the explicate manifestation of the consequence of gradual increasing or decreasing one elementary color, when taking the others as fixed. The reader is recommended to search for his or her favored color with respect to the application in mind, after which he or she can find the variants of the same color in the same color in the same page, or previous and following pages.
